Mountain Hiking to Bukreev Peak

Bukreeva Peak (Pionersky)

Around Almaty, on the ridges of the Zailiisky Alatau, there are several peaks and summits available for climbing. One of them is Bukreev Peak, named after the famous mountaineer Anatoly Bukreev in 2007. Before that, it was called Pioneer Peak.

The height of the peak is 3010 meters, and the mountain hike to it takes one day.

A mountain hike to the Bukreev Peak can be organized from several sides:
- from the side of Butakovsky gorge (the most common route).
- through the Kotyrbulak Gorge
- through Kimasar gorge and along Butakovsky pass to the peak (the most extended route).

Along the way you will enjoy the stunning nature of our mountains. There are two plates at the summit in honor of Anatoly Boukreev.

The guide has a mountain hiking instructor certificate and first aid certificate, so you can feel safe and enjoy the hike.

The mountains are a place of high danger, we recommend not to hike alone, it is better to rely on an experienced instructor.
