Only the mountains are better than the mountains we have never been to, as Vysotsky sings.
We invite you to the mountain adventure on Furmanov Peak. Main highlight of the trip, except unbelievable views of mountains and panorama of the city is Heavenly Swings.
Furmanov Peak was named after the Soviet revolutionary, D.A. Furmanov. Furmanov's writing activity is highlighted by his most famous novel, Chapaev. For the people of Almaty, he is known for his novel "Mutiny", which describes the events of 1917 in what was then the town of Verny.
The route to the peak goes through Kim-Asar gorge. If you take a bus to the high-mountainous skating rink Medeu, you will have to spend time and energy approaching the start of the route. We suggest picking you up and driving by off-road car to the barrier, thus saving your energy on ascent.
The height of Furmanov Peak is 3053 m. The time of approach to the peak will depend on your speed. In general the ascent is not too high, but because of the length of the route it may be classified as average in difficulty. The hike in both directions will take 14-15 km. The ascent time to the peak is about 4.5-5 hours.
The sky swings were set up at an altitude of 2500 m specifically for atmospheric photos. In the photos you will look as if you are flying above the mountains themselves. For interesting pictures girls can take a flying dress and get unbelievably picturesque pictures.
According to your desire and physical fitness we can go only to the swings. If you want to conquer Furmanov Peak, we will go higher. We will stop for lunch at Panorama and enjoy the views of the mountains and the gorge.
Hike to Furmanov Peak is a great way to train your endurance, to conquer the peak, putting it in your piggy bank of your achievements, as well as getting incredible impressions and pictures.
The guide has a mountain hiking instructor certificate and first aid certificate, so you can feel safe and enjoy your hike.
The mountains are a place of high danger, we recommend not to hike alone, it is better to rely on an experienced instructor.
